Hired Hand 6450-0091 Flame Probe – 4″ Flame Sensor for Pre-1998 Super Saver XL Heaters
The Hired Hand 6450-0091 Flame Probe is a 4-inch flame-sensing rod used in older 120V Hired Hand Super Saver XL heaters manufactured before 1998. This probe is a key safety component, designed to verify that a flame is present whenever the gas valve is open.If the probe does not detect a flame, it sends a signal to the control module to shut off the gas supply, preventing unburned fuel from entering the heater or the surrounding area. This safety response helps protect livestock, buildings, and equipment from hazardous conditions. With its 4-inch length and compatibility with early Super Saver XL models, this flame probe is the correct replacement for maintaining safe and reliable operation in older units.
